WUT IT DO
Posted by ginc on December 21, 2003 - 12:57 AM #90
Hello party peoples. Wut it do.
Season 1 of ET league play is over, and the final results for 20ID are that we made it to the semi-finals in TWL, and the quarter finals in CAL. We lost to Rotators (yeX!) in both leagues, fucking guys. Regardless, we're pretty happy to have made it that far, and we're looking to do better in season 2. Looking at the scene for TWL season 2, preseason looks to have alot of new clans - some formed out of the ashes of old ones, some from RTCW making the switch, and of course a few noob clans :o

Shortly after our playoff exit we decided to pick up WhiteFire to bolster our roster. He's an angry individual, even rivalling BizZ with his hate, but he fits in well with the rest of the asshats in 20ID and brings some skill and smarts to the table as well.

In other news, I've finally updated the "About 20ID" section of the page! It now includes the clan history up to the present, and has a new blurb about the general attitude of 20ID when it comes to gaming. Go check it out. Also, if you haven't noticed, I updated the welcome page picture for ET (now with more panzercock).

Update to placate fum
Posted by ginc on November 15, 2003 - 11:44 PM #89
Lots has happened since the last update, because I'm lazy. <3 fum.

Roster changes in the last 2 months: picked up Legion, carcass, chibi (all Q3F players we know), and Flip. Welcome aboard gentlemen. Bizz goes active again \o/ Drakka goes inactive :-( A bunch of other momos go inactive or quit ET (check roster page for details). The roster is looking pretty decent now, so we're back to recruiting on an invite only basis.

As far as matches go, a few wins here and there, and a convincing loss to Muddy's LoT guys in CAL on radar about a month ago. However, vengeance came in the form of a recent SUPER UPSET VICTORY(tm) for 20ID over LoT in the TWL playoffs! \o\ \o/ /o/ Predicted by just about everyone to lose (including myself), it turns out people underestimated our railgun tactics and LoT didn't prepare enough. The match itself was a great one - a tight 2-1 win for us, with both teams setting times. 20ID just managed to get the job done quicker. We advance to the conference semi-finals, in which we face Deviance for the third time. This will be a tough one, as they will be out for revenge for their CAL losses. Speaking of CAL, right now we're on track to make the playoffs there as well, and a win against a tough Rotators team tomorrow could give us the #1 seed in the east. Wish us luck :>

Regardless of how we do in the CAL and TWL playoffs, I have to say I'm happy to have gotten this far in a mere 3 months. Every other top team has many players with extensive RTCW experience, while we have absolutely none (with the exception of Legion's benchwarming for Hostile Inc). We've still managed to adapt quick enough to hang with the big boys, and that's why I'm proud of you guys :D

Posted by ginc on September 30, 2003 - 6:59 PM #86
I've finally managed to get off my ass and do small amounts of work on the page again. Most notably, I've added cookies for music selection - your choice will stick every time you visit the page (for 2 months) if you have cookies enabled. Still to come: some new (more gay) music, an actual ET matches record, an updated "About 20ID" section, and whatever else tickles my fancy. But yeah, don't expect me to work too fast... I don't get paid, I work on the page for fun, and yes my layout and photoshop skills are weak, but I don't care!

p.s We've played alot of ET matches lately and picked up some recruits, I'll make another news post about those happenings some other time.

Bizz and Sosha <3
Posted by ginc on September 22, 2003 - 8:41 AM #85
Bizz and Sosha are now inactive :/
Bizz is taking a much needed break from online gaming. He's been in this clan almost since the beginning, and he's always been a great player and leader. As co-leader he has made my job of running this clan alot easier. He still idles on IRC and teamspeak, but he just doesn't wanna do a half-assed job in ET, so he decided to stay off the lineup for now. Enjoy the time off, and come back soon Bizz!
Sosha has finally started college, and seeing as he has morning classes and he lives in the UK, that leaves him no time for matches at night (9pm EST = 2am GMT). He joined us towards the end of season 1 in BF1942, and despite the fact that he can be an asshole, he's always been dedicated and helpful in planning out matches. GL in college, and take it easy!

Despite the loss of these 2 leaders, our ET team trudges onward. Me and Drakka are still around to keep things moving, and bub/jam are beginning to fill the void left by Bizz and Sosha. As far as the roster goes, we're getting by, but our roster seriously lacks depth beyond maybe 4 or 5 regulars. As a result we're still recruiting and trying some people out. If you think you're good enough to help out our cause, drop by #20id on gamesnet and pm either GodInc or Drakka.

Nein! p.s. we need 1 or 2 d00dz
Posted by ginc on August 31, 2003 - 4:48 PM #83
Hello! Hope you're all having a relaxing Labor Day weekend. We finished up preseason with a 3-1 record, but we're unsure of where we stand. Our very first match was against one of the top 4 or 5 ET clans out there, and we got pasted. The next 3 were rather easy wins, one of them by forfeit. Either way, making the playoffs isn't out of the question, despite our lack of RTCW experience. This is a good position for us - we're underdogs with alot of potential. We're waiting in anticipation as TWL's Enemy Territory regular season kicks off next week, and 20ID is ready to kick butt and like men! Mostly like men though.

Aaanyways... as things settle down around here, we're probably going to need 1 or 2 more players to round out our team. We're going to be fairly picky about who we take though - we want someone with good aim, smarts, experience, and the right kind of attitude for 20ID. RTCW experience with good clans is definitely required - we don't want to have to train people, as we already have a bunch of friends and some current clan members training and learning the game. Above all, we want someone who has the ability and desire to help make the team better, not just someone who wants to hitch a ride.

If you think you can help us out, send a pm on IRC to either GodInc, BizZ, Sosha or Drakka. If you really want you could post in our forums too, but we don't check it that often. Best of luck to all the teams in ET's first season!

TEH MANSTACK!!1
Posted by ginc on August 19, 2003 - 9:54 PM #82
Last night in TWL ET action, the fearsome MANSTACK was used. Indeed, prone stacking is the most homoerotic in-game maneuver yet seen by 20ID - in other words, a new favorite tactic. While we wish the manstack could be more tightly packed, buttsex is still buttsex.

The news page might look a little fucked up while I try to get comments working here. I've also added an Enemy Territory roster, and added 2 ET d00ds to the titlebar on top! :D

ET is going pretty well. The competition is tough, but we're learning more and more as we play. The biggest problem I see is that there is a HUGE gap in skill between people on public servers and good clan players. Playing on pubs can give you the false idea that you're really good, and then when you play scrims against good clans things are totally different. Basically, pubbing is good for the first few weeks, but after that you need to scrim good clans to get better. We're still in preseason in the TWL stopwatch league, regular season starts in about 2 weeks.

Enemy Territory?
Posted by ginc on July 25, 2003 - 4:41 PM #80
Looks like we'll be giving Enemy Territory, the new free standalone RTCW mod, a try in competitive play. We've been playing the game on pubs for a few weeks now and seem to be enjoying it. Sure, we lack the experience in RTCW that many other clans in ET have, but we'll see if we can overcome the experience gap like we always do :> When we started playing Quake3 Fortress, we competed against clans with many years of Fortress experience but still managed to climb our way to the top... lets see what happens here!

To start, we've signed up for the TWL RTCW:ET 6v6 Stopwatch league. One league is enough for now, as we're still determined to take it easy and not burn ourselves out like we did with BF1942. CAL might be adding their own RTCW:ET league as well, and we'll definitely be considering that as well.

Right now we have a server set up on Goonsquad.net (thanks to karmann and wl), give it a try at ny3.goonsquad.net:27960 if you see anyone on. Also, now that we're no longer playing a game that requires a powerful CPU and generates over 3mb/sec of traffic, we'll probably be getting a server from our friends at Laggyservers.com too :>

A bittersweet end to BF1942
Posted by ginc on July 15, 2003 - 5:39 PM #78
Well, its that time again for 20ID... time to leave another game behind. Those in the know probably saw this one coming, as the writing has been on the wall throughout the later half of season 2. However, this time the reasons for leaving are different... this time it's a bit more personal. As you may have noticed, I've been leading 20ID for 5 years, actively running our teams in all the games we've been successful in. I've enjoyed doing this, and I've enjoyed putting in the effort and care to not only become dominant in the games we play, but also to become a tight knit group of friends that are loyal to each other. Through an infectious sense of humor, we've made alot of friends (and some enemies), brought out the lighter side of people and made them enjoy their time in and around the clan.

Unfortunately, the problem is a lack of time to maintain a high standard of leadership. Battlefield 1942 requires a very high level of effort and free time to be an effective leader, and I just don't have that kind of time anymore. Back in the previous games we played, we barely practiced or had scrims, strategies weren't as complex, and we didn't have to hunt around for 12 reliable players. Me and Bizmarkie have stepped up to the challenge of leading a top BF1942 clan, but it has left us burnt out. 20ID's members for BF1942 have been good guys, but alot of us have taken a more casual stance on playing it. This has lead to inactivity and reliability problems that make leadership require even more effort. Even Karmann and Sosha, our co-captains, are feeling burnt out as well. No one else in 20ID is really suited to leadership in BF1942, and we really can't be bothered to recruit, so we're just gonna retire from BF1942 while we have the opportunity.

I hate to leave a game while it is still gaining popularity, especially since alot of us still like the game, but we need to take it easy and find something a little less demanding when it comes to time and organization required. Alot of people play online games with the goal of "going pro" and trying to win money, but doing that requires alot of dedication. While most of us are avid gamers, alot of us are in college and have other priorities in life. Personally, I play games with 20ID to have fun, experience tough competition, and make this clan the best that we can. When playing a clan match becomes a chore rather than a euphoric rush, then you know its time to move on.

We did manage to hold on until the end of CAL season 2 however, and I wanna thank Demise for being friendly with us the whole way, understanding our sense of humor, and being a formidable bunch of opponents. We met them in the CAL finals last Sunday, and although the match was plagued by server problems (most likely due to ddos attacks), we had a fun match in which 20ID squeaked out a victory in 3 rounds. Some of the legitimacy of our win was taken away by the fact that a few of their players dropped for a little while, but we still came to play that night. Perhaps Demise might have won if the servers didnt give everyone problems, but who knows. Luckily, we're still good friends with the Demise guys, and if anything the server attacks only made us closer. GG guys, considering the circumstances. Sorry to OIS for the kick - at the time we thought it would make the match more secure and less accessible to outside parties, but in the end it didn't make a difference. I guess this reflects the fact that 20ID doesn't really care about the publicity or fans or anything, we just want to have a good game.

That means we get the privilege of retiring on a good note - with the CAL-BF1942 season 2 championship. I know alot of the community was looking forward to butting heads with us in the new CAL-BF Invite league, but a league like that would only demand more of our time than usual, and as mentioned above that just isn't possible. Anyways, I'd like to thank all the people out there in the BF1942 community that saw through all the drama and gave us all our good matches - we enjoyed them thoroughly. Sure, we may have said a few nasty comments and stepped on a few toes, but it was all in good fun. Sorry if you were offended, we like to be assclowns sometimes just for fun. Thanks for putting up with us!

I'd like to apologize to the people in 20ID who were truly dedicated and looking forward to season 3, I'm sorry that I don't have the will to keep it up. Regardless, 20ID as a clan is not dead... we'll just be looking for another game to play, one that's fun and doesn't require 3 scrims a week as practice :) With our laid back approach, hopefully we can find a game that's exciting and competitive but doesn't take over our lives. As my brother MikFly says, see you all on the flipside!

Been really busy lately, I'll make this quick. 20ID activity in bf1942 seems to be on the decline again now that summer's in full swing, which kinda sucks since we're right in the middle of playoffs :/ Personally, I'm finding it difficult to manage this clan well, and still have time to do well in school and have a life. Anyways, enough about me.
In Squadgames we made it to the finals but Demise got the better of us and won it this time around, congrats to them. I think that was like 2 or 3 weeks ago, I forget. In the other leagues, we're in the semi-finals in CAL and TWL. Next on the block is aEm and Warchild, both on battleaxe. Bizz is on vacation but he should be back tomorrow, which is good because we all miss him! <3 fum

The week of Anzio went well: we picked up wins over Warchild and ODR on TWL and CAL respectively. This week the map is Bocage. So far, we got a win over BR1 on TWL, and this Sunday we play Shining Force for CAL. Should be a good game, and a win here will get us a good seeding in the playoffs.

The 20ID recruiting machine has been going nuts lately: recently we picked up Ta2uage (former Northern Brigade) and rawz (former aEm). Hopefully we can finally give the recruiting a rest, as attendance is getting good again. Anyways, here's a picture dedicated to the best bug ever in BF1942: the AA gun tank flip bug :D

aawwwww... UPDAAAAAAATE! \o/
Posted by ginc on May 21, 2003 - 1:07 PM #71

News page hasn't been updated in 2 weeks, so here we go:

We took another loss in CAL to a well-prepared aEm team on Tobruk, they beat us by a small margin on both sides to take the win. As allies we put up a pretty good fight, holding them off the front lines for quite a while. However, their artillery did an excellent job against our front lines, and eventually they broke through. We battled out the round to close it with them winning 22-0. We switched sides and moved out... only to find that their artillery was hammering our Axis tank spawns right from the start (r4wz LoL)! Annoying, but we got around that. Once we reached the front line, aEm's defense proved to be even tougher than ours - it took us a while before we were able to break it, and by the time we did, they had about a 30 ticket lead, and we didn't have enough tickets to complete the push and wipe them out. They simply battled out the round and killed off the last of us, winning 26-0. Disappointing performance by us on the Axis side, but hey, shit happens :>

After that, we got 2 more wins on Wake for TWL and CAL, over NBrigade and Darkrailers respectively. Then... we had a rematch with aEm last night, this time for the SquadGames invite tourney semi-finals. Since we were lazy bastards, we picked Wake Island, the map we played last week in leagues :D aEm picked their favorite map, Gazala.

Wake Island started out with a big win for 20ID. Our attack plan went more or less perfectly, and we won big as Axis. Things did a 180 from there - aEm's attack plan was quite different from what we expected, and it caught our undermanned south defenses by surprise. While we were able to contest and keep them from getting a spawn on the island for a while, aEm's destroyer eventually pulled up, allowing them a full stream of landing boats. Eventually, we could no longer spawn in the south either, and from there everything just fell apart, as it normally does when you lose your plane and tank spawns :P aEm also won big as Axis, but the delays made them win with roughly 20 less tickets.
Onward to Gazala... we were a bit worried at this point, as aEm were known for being very good at Gazala - beating Demise in scrims on it and such. However, our brainstorming strategy session before the match proved very effective: we managed to think up a very solid strategy and execute it well. More often than not, we managed to maintain a stranglehold on the 3 southern points, however aEm fought very hard and always seemed to contest enough points to prevent the ticket drain. As far as the killing went, neither team seemed to have the upper hand - the ground forces traded kills while the air forces raped the hell out of the tanks on both sides. We had a 20 ticket lead for most of the first round, but suddenly with 5 minutes left, aEm reversed the situation and grabbed all the southern flags. With tickets slowly counting down, we had to do something quick. We sent a convoy to contest the north point, and succeeded at that. Meanwhile, one of our pilots parachuted onto their southern point, contesting that and stopping the ticket drain. Tickets were dead even with 30 seconds to go. At this point im sitting in our main base in an APC, unable to do anything, so I just watch and crap my pants. Suddenly, Scoobi gets 2 kills with his tank at the north point, and Bizz swoops in on an enemy tank with his Stuka and gets one more kill, giving us a win by a mere 3 tickets! Wow. We then switched sides to Allies, confident that we would win it. Allies seem to have a slight advantage on Gazala, and we also had a small buffer of tickets to lose as well. The final round went similar to the first Gazala round, except this time we seemed to be more in control of the situation. Again aEm fought hard and kept enough points contested to keep the tickets from draining, but 20ID held the upper hand for most of the match, and won it by roughly 15 tickets in the end. Good games to everyone the past 2 weeks! We move on to the SquadGames finals, and again we face Demise. Should be fun and homoerotic.

Another recruit has been added to 20ID, and he goes by the name of Speedy. He enjoys sniping and long walks on the beach. He joins a fairly large group of new 20ID players, and we're still working to integrate all the new people into our strategies. So far things are going well, but we've still got some more work to do :>

CAL week 2 vs warchild
Posted by Sosha on April 27, 2003 - 9:35 PM #68
OKOKOKOKOKOAXKOKoaxk

so its battle of the bulge, we start as allied and set up our defensives over the north and south bridge, mines are down and tanks are ready. We wait, and wait.. and wait; nothing. Well it turns out warchild were deathmatching, mainly shelling across the river and poor mine bitch phroot. After about 3 days we won by 60 or so tickets. Round 2, axis, now in 1.2 axis had like 80 tickets more than allied, in 1.31 you get like 50 less so it's no longer so easy. No matter, we roll out towards the windmill and before we know it almost all of our tanks due to warchilds guerilla/al qaeda tree hiding anti tanks. Fuck. We go north, south, windmill. Never hold them long enough and lose by 190 tickets :(

They get map pick and take allied again. But this time we're prepared, we roll all of our tanks south and move in on the south bridge, unfortunately we go right past one sherman who proceeds to kill like 4 tanks in da butt. Step up the mvp who took the jeep all the way south, swims across, takes their main, then hides. While warchild are all confused we moved into the windmill and m10 spawn and once the Sherman has come to kill our plucky jeep mvp karmann and scoobi already have tanks to fuck him up. So we now have their main tank spawn and its over really. We took all flags except the heavy spawn and begin pummelling it, lots of ATs :> We eventually took it and killed most of them, 2 left. OK! get a tank on each flag, they're only assaulters! Sooner or later the south/main flag goes gray, motard is there alone with a tank. DONT MOVE MOTARD!! STAY ALIVE WE'RE COMING!! he's looking for this guy, who is obviously in the grave yard ^^ of course this is like motards first ever bulge match since he's still pretty new to competition in BF. He accidently leaves the cap zone and they took the flag ;_; ah fuck it every tank rolled down, we fucked em and took it with 69 tickets left.

MVP goes to phroot for his mine work and 27 deaths, scoobi and karmann for saving the jeep mvp

Posted by ginc on April 9, 2003 - 5:55 PM #66
Season 2 of CAL, TWL and SquadGames kicked off last week, and we got a win over STD in TWL, a win over XS in CAL, and a forfeit win in SG. CAL and TWL are still in preseason, and the super cool tank map Aberdeen is coming up so we're out to have some fun.

Also, 20ID has been having some attendance problems lately, so we're looking for 1 or 2 really good players to help us out. If you have BF clan experience and you feel you're good enough to make a difference and help us out, inquire on IRC with me, Bizz or karmann about recruiting. This isn't a joke, we really are looking for people.

20ID claims victoly over TWL League
Posted by Scoobi on March 31, 2003 - 3:19 PM #65
On Sunday a well-prepared 20ID team fought D2D in the finals of the TWL League on Wake Island. Through excellent ground coverage, air coverage, and, as axis, boat coverage we prevailed winning both sides. As Allies the North village was held against numerous waves of infantry by the one man army known only as Scoobi. As Axis Scoobi killed the last guy causing tickets to drain like a mother. In honour of these valiant actions Scoobi will be rewarded with 72 brown-eyed virgins in his afterlife as well as many medals and a brand new car.

MVP: Scoobi

Hey the page hasnt been updated in a while soooooooooooo..

After our cal experience we focused on the TWL league, in which we had a tough semi finals match with demise on gazala. We won allies 170something to 30something and axis 35-0. GG to demise, was a tough match. I missed the match vs untouchables, but seeing as how we are still #1 on TWL i figure we won it ;~D. BTW today is our fourth month reigning as #1 on the TWL ladder, at least we are getting challenges now ;DDDDDDDD. We look forward to season 2 in cal and the TWL League finals vs D2D Sunday. Also we entered in the SquadGames invite tournament to defend our season 1 championship. With most of the top clans also entered in that tournament it should be a fun deal and hopefully we will come out on top again.

On a side note: Look GodInc I posted something constructive and not mean on the news page :~D...Fuel is a ninny.

20ID gets dicked
Posted by ginc on March 16, 2003 - 7:37 PM #58
Well, last sunday we lost to 117th in the quarter finals on Tobruk. Ordinarily we wouldn't be so angry over a loss, but given the circumstances under which we lost, I think we are fully justified in saying that we got screwed over.

Round 1 started well for 20ID, we were axis and overrun them quickly. We had them pinned in their last spawn while having 140 tickets left, and then 3 of our players dropped. Me and MikFly weren't able to get back online for nearly 2 hours. However, with 7 players we finished up the round 125-0. We would later find out that the 3 players that dropped were the victim of DDoS attacks, verified by calls to our ISPs and packet logs. In round 2, more of our players got attacked during various points in the round, and our allied defenses were unable to hold out. Our M10 driver could not move, stuck with 600 ping, and our back base tank dropped entirely, allowing them to sandwich our defenses easily from the front and back. We lost that round 129-0, giving them the choice of side for round 3 by a mere 4 tickets. While 117th was "nice" enough to wait for our connection problems to settle down, they wouldn't allow us to replay the rounds or reschedule. The damage had already been done, and they were able to win the tiebreaker round on this one-sided map, with us as allies again, 89-0.

Basically, in a match this close, it pissed us off that the connection problems we had were caused by some moron with a packet flooder, who most likely wasn't even in 117th. Fact: we lost the choice of side by a mere 4 tickets. Fact: at least 4 of our players (4 confirmed, 3 more suspected) were attacked during the first 2 rounds, moreso in the second round. Draw whatever conclusions you want from that, but personally I think we got screwed out of the playoffs. If you want a more in-depth explanation or some proof of the attacks, see us on IRC. www.20inchdongs.com/cal shows some logs, but you might need some explanations to go along with them.

Things are kinda quiet on the TWL front, but this has given us time to play alot of scrims to prepare for the next round of the CAL playoffs. Next on the block is the 117th clan, who will no doubt be itching to knock us out of season 1. We will have to be all like WUUUUT I DONT THINK SO.

Also, this is a message from 20ID to the admins of the CAL forums:

UNBAN BizZ! :D

p.s. Scoobi and Fum suck wang

Impressive win over X-clan
Posted by Scoobi on March 2, 2003 - 7:55 PM #53
Today was the start of the first round of CAL League playoff action for BF1942. We had a tough match against the X-clan on Battleaxe. The only thing that held 20ID together for the win were the valiant actions of 20ID members Scoobi and Fum. Without Scoobi covering the back line and giving X-clan's airplanes trouble, and Fum taking the western bunkers without any support from his comrade Nutso, 20ID would have lost for sure!

Scores were 250-0ish for each side. GG x-clan!

MVP's of the match go to: Scoobi and Fum

MY EYES, THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING.

Ok, as Enemy (who now goes under the name Offend again) mentioned, we picked up Sosha, a foul smelling brit wanker. People keep going inactive and we always seem to need fresh meat :D

Anyways, if you can take your eyes off the pics that Offend posted (the jiggling fat is hypnotic, isn't it?), then I can tell you that CAL playoffs have started. With our 7-1 record we got the #4 seed, and here is the bracket:

Should be a fun bunch of games.

Last week we played TFS on the TWL ladder and defended the #1 rung again, but they gave us a hell of a scare: they cockblocked us on Berlin taking a map win there, we came back and returned the favor on good old Wake Island, and on Market Garden we just barely scraped out a win to take the match. The funny thing is that we'll probably face TFS again in the CAL semi-finals on Market Garden, but this time we'll have a better strategy ready :>

BF1942 playoffs on the horizon!
Posted by ginc on February 16, 2003 - 11:53 PM #48
With a commanding win over hk tonight in CAL, we secured a spot in the playoffs. Another win in the final week against SOM will give us a high ranked seed as well. 16 teams are going to make the CAL-BF1942 playoffs, and my guess is that at least half of them would make worthy opponents. We're looking forward to the post-season with glee, and can't wait to see the playoff brackets :D

In the TWL league, we seem to have a stranglehold on the top spot in our division, and we wont likely see a strong opponent until post-season, which starts roughly 3 weeks from now. We're still holding down #1 on the TWL ladder, but TFS will be hungry to change that on Tuesday, so we'll have to come out and crash some more planes into Fear's tank and push them back again :P

Also, welcome goatball (Bizz's butt buddy) and TheSauce (AQ2 and Q3CTF veteran also known as Tsunami) to 20ID. With a few players going inactive like Masochist, Dakota and vicodin, we picked up these 2 guys to fill in a few gaps. Of course, we will make them feel at home with constant homoeroticism and other wacky hijinx that 20ID is famous for. Side note: it is rumored that D2D, our rivals in the west, are also rivaling our level of homoeroticism. Keep trying D2D, but you can't outgay BizZ... you might as well try to outgay Richard Simmons.

another loss :(
Posted by Fum on February 10, 2003 - 8:43 AM #45
Just kidding ehehehe. We held our #1 rank on the TWL ladder against VX9, making that 12 #1 defences. Also, "(@Offend) i think we've set a record for the longest amount of time being "open" and #1 on a twl ladder". That means challenge us fellahs :~D!

We had to regain some dignity after our loss last week on cal on omagay beach. R-Syn got the brunt of this on Stalingrad where we beat them 398-0, and 347-0.

GG's to both teams \o/

We took another loss tonight, to Warchild on the craptastic map Omaha. Their strategy was better than ours, and it showed. Hell, it seemed like they knew our strategies right from the very start of the match. We defeated them as Axis by rushing the beach and preventing them from capping any flags, winning 244-0. They never capped any flags. On the flipside, they surprised the hell out of us with a completely unexpected strategy (to us anyway): they conceded the beach and simply sat back, covering the 2 chokepoints with a large assortment of vehicles and guns. We were unable to capture the all-important bunker for more than a few seconds, and due to their defensive positions we were unable to get more than a handful of frags on them. They won that round 292-0, giving them the all important choice of sides on the tiebreaker. They obviously chose axis, but this time we gave them more of a fight. We managed to capture and clear the bunker complex this time, but we accomplished this too late, and as a result we still had to fight an uphill battle. A few fuckups lead to us changing capture points, and eventually losing both, sending us down to the beach again and sealing the win for Warchild, 200-0.

Basically, we got too relaxed for this match. We used a strategy that hadn't been updated in months and didn't bother with much practice, while they scrimmed against our former Omaha opponent, Demise, giving them an intelligence advantage. Personally, I just couldn't be bothered to put in the effort to make a better strat, because I really just didn't give a fuck about Omaha. Oh well, GG Warchild, you deserved the win tonight.

20ID won the first SquadGames invitational BF1942 tourney tonight with a win over Demise! It was a fun game, gg Demise. 20ID took Guadalcanal by storm with a decisive victory both rounds, and secured the match by winning the first side of Bocage. We played out the last round of Bocage anyway, and Demise managed to stage a comeback on that one, and win it by 8 tickets, denying us the shutout :D
Also, ggs to the other 4 clans we played these last several days: TFS, BlitzJ, DP and CkB.

Bizmarkie was awarded $50 US for being the MVP of the match. I think he slept with the judges on that one, but nice job anyway bizz :> We're thinking we might donate the money to gid and m1m3r, our contacts at laggyservers.com. He's been nice enough to run our servers for almost 3 years now, and hasn't charged us a dime. Thanks gid :D

20ID secured a quartet of wins this week, in all 4 of our leagues. Good games to Northern Brigade, The Fallen, August Knights, and The Final Stand. The crazyness continues next week, with our SquadGames final against Demise, and another game with TFS. Should be fun :D

Back in action >:()

First of all, I HAVE DEFEATED THE SNOWFLAKES. DAMN YOU NUTSO, EAT A BAG OF HELL.

Now that the snowflakes are gone and holidays are over, 20ID is back in action in BF1942. We've got four matches after the weekend! Attendance is high as usual, even more so with the somewhat recent additions of Enemy, smash and former 20ID Q3F player vicodin. With our super gigantor roster we shouldn't need to recruit for a long long time, but we are always on the lookout for an outstanding pilot, one that is better than our starting pilots: Bizz, Phr00t and bl.

As far as the scene goes, more clans seem to be popping up, and a few existing clans have gotten better too. Should be a good year :D
